Welcome to my 2011 website. I live in San Francisco and paint scenes of people enjoying their lives in this beautiful city. Recently, I have been focusing on sports - particularly where there is a clear demonstration of skill, coordination and grace.
I love abstraction and enjoy crossing the fine line between representational and abstract painting. I also enjoy painting the figure, and a number of my works include nudes.
When I do portraits, I focus on the personality of the subject rather than on the facial features. My idea of an interesting portrait is one in which the unique character of a person is captured in a gesture and is reflected in the impressionist nature of the painting.
